Hey everyone! Today is going to be a super casual post about some clothes I've bought recently. Some of these items are more day to day pieces so they probably won't ever be shown in a look, but I still thought it would be fun to mention what is new in my closet. I am a shop-a-holic so there will be bigger hauls in the future, but for now this is all my broke college student budget could afford!
1. Converse Shoes
I have been looking for a pair of fashionable sneakers for a while now. I love the classic adidas ones everyone has, but I kinda wanted to be different. I also didn't want white because I knew they would get dirty instantly. I used to live in my converse as a kid so I was so happy to find these on sale for $35!! They are casual enough for me to wear with tshirts but also fashionable enough to be paired with jeans. These will for sure be in upcoming looks.
2. Tennis Skirt
I've mentioned this in a blog post before, but tennis skirts are huge at my college. Everyone wears them to class and even for a casual night out. I have slowly been buying more and more because they are so cute and make everyone's legs look amazing. This is a lululemon tennis skirt that I got off ebay for $25!! Seriously go hit up ebay for amazing deals. The picture on the left is the front and the one on the right is the back.
Last weekend I went to brunch with my mom and so many of my friends were wearing jumpsuits. I told my mom not to let me forget that I wanted to buy one for next year and then while I was shopping I stumbled up on this! So I am a little early in buying a romper for an event that is literally a year away, but I couldn't just leave it at the store. This romper is Free People but I found it at TJ Maxx for $40. I'm not sure if I can find the exact link because it was from TJ Maxx so I will link something similar. I am waiting for any excuse to come along for me to wear this jumpsuit because I am absolutely in love with it.
Easter Sunday is right around the corner so I've rounded up 12 dresses UNDER $100 to help those of you who still haven't found an outfit. These dresses could also work for other occasions like graduation or end of year brunches. They all are relatively conservative and work perfectly for daytime. I found every item shown on shopbob.com. They are also having an incredible sale right now on full priced and sale items. So everything shown here is marked under $100, but if you use the code 'EVENT17' you could get an additional 20% off orders under $500 or 25% off orders over $500! So grab several of these pieces for upcoming events at a discounted price!! If I were to buy only one things from this sale it would have to be this gorgeous pink Mink Pink dress on sale for $77. Click the pictures below to see where everything is from.
Hey everyone! Today I made a master lists of formal dresses! At my college #formalszn is right around the corner so I thought this would be helpful. I know dresses can add up, especially if you're going to more than one formal, so I found 15 dresses under $100. Some of these are actually priced that low and some are on sale. All of these are short dresses because from my experience most sororities only have one long dress formal every four years. I actually might post a collection of long dresses later just to help people out if they are still looking for one. I am wearing a romper that I got from boohoo last semester to my formal. It isn't in this collection, but be expecting a post on that in the next couple of weeks! I also have done another formal outfit options post that included the dress I wore so my semi formal so make sure you check that out! I have linked everything at the very bottom, so just click on the picture of the dress to shop.
This was another piece I picked up for spring break. I did wear it once when we tried to have a fancy dinner during the week. However, it turns out the entire island was packed so we couldn't find a restaurant that would take our whole group. We ended up going to some weird/gross pizza joint which is why I didn't take pictures in this outfit there. I got this romper from Buffalo Exchange so it is going to be hard to find the exact one but I'll link something similar. The tag says its from the brand Zouk: which I have never heard of. I love shopping at Buffalo for inexpensive but super cute items like this. Buffalo is seriously a college student's dream because of their prices. I paired the romper with my new favorite shoes from Target! My sister got them for me for Christmas and I wear them all the time. Everything or something very similar will be linked down below.
Hey everyone! I have been eyeing several items throughout this month so I thought I would share them with you! As a college student I am #broke so I will not be getting all if any of these things on my wish list soon, but they are definitely things I'm saving up for.
1. Casual Sneakers
I am in desperate need for some non-athletic sneakers. I want comfy shoes I can wear with both legging and jeans. I have my much adored snake print vans, but I want something that looks more like a tennis shoe. The ones I would buy in a heart beat if I could are those adorable Steve Madden Freebird Sneakers!!! They are a bit to much for me to buy at retail price and too new to be affordable on ebay so I might wait until summer time to see if I can get a better deal.
2. High neck bras
This is one I will probably get this month. I have been loving pairing high neck bra's with vneck tees. I think you could wear them out with jeans or even causally to class with leggings. Free People and Calvin Klein sell some adorable high neck bras, but I might stick with the ~slightly~ more inexpensive target ones.
3. Day & Night Skirts
I need a skirt that I can wear both at daytime and at night. Right now I only own super girly skirts that work for things like church and then envelope skirts that I would only wear at night. I think the denim skirts with the zig zag seam or corduroy skirts would work for both day and night, which would be so convenient. I feel like I could probably find some decently priced ones at Forever21 or Urban.
Hey! Hope you had a great spring break! I went to South Padre with my sorority for a couple days. I bought these super cute palm tree shorts to wear out while we were there but never got the chance too. It turns out the going out scene in South Padre is a little different from Austin. (If you've been there you know what I mean) I still think these shorts are really fun for spring/summer and will definitely try to find another occasion to wear them. My top is from Fabletics. Even though it is meant for working out it is still a light cotton material. I absolutely love the twist detail in the back so I dress it up as opposed to working out it in. I have ordered several things from Fabletics throughout this year and have honestly loved everything I've received. Everything is extremely versatile and can be worn basically at all times, like this top. I will try to find everything I'm wearing online or something similar and leave them linked down below!
I love this outfit because it is perfect for the transition between winter and spring. I can still wear my booties but its not too cold for a skirt and exposed shoulders. I found both of these pieces I'm wearing on sale. The skirt was from nordstrom rack so I don't think I will be able to find and exact link but I will put something similar. As you've probably seen in my past outfit posts, I wear these booties a lot. They are a couple years old from Steve madden but there are similar dupes all over in different stores. One of the things I love to do when picking out an outfit is to pair a neutral pattern with a pop of color. That way my outfit isn't too much but also isn't boring. These pictures were taken at Butler Park in Austin. It has some really good backdrops of downtown that I loved. If you want to SHOP anything I'm wearing just click the link!
This dress is one of my favorite pieces I recently picked up from Madewell! This dress was on sale and then Madewell offers amazing student discounts. If you are a college student I would definitely check out Madewell's sales regularly because they will apply your discount on top of already marked down items! I love the off shoulder look plus the keyhole details on the end of each sleeve! I paired it with some black booties and a scarf in the last picture. The color of this dress is really good for transitioning from winter to spring. It can be dressed up or dressed down as well. I wore it more casually here, but am going to pair it with some nude heels to dress it up for my sororities founder's day! I linked everything I'm wearing so click to SHOP any of these items.
Hey everyone! I was scrolling around Forever 21's website and noticed that they have a lot of trendy pieces that I've been seeing higher end brands selling very similar things too. I love trying out cheaper items that have recently become trendy to know if I like them before I splurge several hundred dollars. As a typical broke college student I really don't have the money to be spending several hundred on a pair of jeans so the forever 21 version is perfect for me! Also if you lose or stain any of these items you won't have literally thrown hundreds of dollars away just to have red punch all over your blue top the first time you wear it. I really like deal hunting so I will probably have more of these coming up in the future! Also click on the links below to shop any of these pieces.
When I was buying new clothes for college I had no idea how many downtown clothes I would need. In high school everyone wore casual cute clothes on the regular, and I had no idea that college would be any different. Since I've moved to college I'm either in a tshirt going to class or a dressy tank top for a night out. Seriously, there is no in between. So I have made what I consider the "downtown essentials" to help anyone whose starting to shop for college next year. Most of the pieces in this collage are from boohoo. Boohoo is a great place to shop for inexpensive downtown clothes. Lets be real, there is a high probability that some drunken frat boy is going to spill his punch all over you so you don't want to spend a lot of money on going out clothes. Boohoo and Tobi always have great sales going on and still sell high quality pieces, so I always look there. I've i also inserted some pictures from my instagram also to show you what I typically wear out. Enjoy!
This top is from boohoo!
