So this post is featuring my new Snake Print Sneakers by Aldo! I got these over winter break and I am obsessed. I already have snake print skirts and accessories but I have been hunting for an affordable pair of snake print slips-ons for a long time. I think snake print is super trendy right now and so are slip-ons! I wear these shoes with everything from dresses, jeans, leggings, to skirts. The snake pattern is neutral colored so it goes with everything but still adds a super edgy flair. I hope you all enjoy this look I wore when I was back home over winter break!
This is a look I wore running errands and grabbing dinner with some friends. I'm wearing all neutral colors but the variety of patterns and textures from the cardigan, scarf, and purse still pull it all together! I have listed a bunch of dupes for the things I'm wearing down below. Click on them to shop!
7 days until Christmas, and if you're like me you are still shopping for friends and family. I am greatful for everything I have and honestly didn't even ask for anything for Christmas this year, but if you are struggling to find the perfect gift for someone hopefully these ideas help!
Christmas is quickly approaching and the holidays are definitely a crazy time. For those who still need to find the perfect stocking stuffer I made a collage of several different ones ALL UNDER $50! All of these things can be found at Nordstroms!

Right before we all went backt to school, I met up with some of my highschool friends for brunch. We went to this really old hotel downtown that has some beautiful christmas decorations up. This was the first time I really felt like it was the holdiay season! I kept things simple with my outfit but then wore a bolder lip. Everything is linked at the end!
Was online shopping and I saw that Nordstrom was having a fall sale. There are some great things you can get either for yourself or as a gift (since Christmas is just around the corner!!). Here is a collection of some of the cool pieces I found, I'll post later and show what I actually bought!
I spent this past weekend with my family visiting my twin sister at Ole Miss. It was amazing to have my family all together for the first time since August! I honestly don't know how we made it this long without each other. Game days in Ole Miss are really cool bc they assign a school color to each game. This weekend was a red game so I borrowed my friends red suede skirt. I had a great time tailgating in the Grove with my family and even watching the walk of champions at the players headed to the stadium. Can't wait to visit again!
In college Halloween is more than one night, its an entire weekend. Here are all the different costumes I wore!
Old Mia Thermopolis vs New Mia thermopolis
On Wednesday night I took one of my best friends to my sororities Halloween date event. We dressed up as Anne Hathaway before and after her transformation in Princess Diaries 1. I love how this turned out. We wore my friend's old school uniforms and then she curled her hair and wore glasses, while I straightened my hair and wore a tiara!
On Thursday night I was only out for about 40 minutes because I had a test the next morning. I didn't put a whole lot of effort into my outfit, which is why I went as the most basic thing: a cat. I wore leggings and a black top. Then did cat makeup with a red lip and put on some cat ears.
On Saturday I dressed up as an Alien with one of my best friends. The glitter on my face is a little different then the Alien makeup I showed in my lsat blog post. However, I am wearing the same lipstick which is linked in that post! I also wore my hair half-up-half-down, but instead of leaving the top part in a pony tail I made it into two space buns (kinda hard to see in the picture, but it looks just like my friend's hair).
So that's it for my Halloweekend outfits! I hope you all had a great Halloween too!
I got initiated into Delta Gamma on Friday! We had a Mother-Daughter brunch on Sunday and I wore this adorable baby-pink Jcrew dres. I actually found it at buffalo exhange, which is a great thrift store close to my campus!
One fall trend I've been seeing a lot of in stores and online is velvet. No just dresses but shoes and chokers too! I really like the 90's vibes that velvet has so I put together a few examples of how I would style some affordable velvet pieces. I tried to find reasonably priced items because I am personally hesitant to drop a lot of money on a trend I'm just trying out for the first time. Hopefully this helps and inspires you all!
Miss Selfridge white cami
Miss Selfridge navy blue shirt
Topshop high waisted skirt
$37 - topshop.com
Keds olive green sneaker
Steve Madden navy boots
Humble Chic cord necklace
$8.33 - princesspolly.com
First I would pick a statement piece like the bold blue velvet crop top or booties and keep the rest of the outfit simple. I would pair it will neutrals like black and then pops of complementary colors like light pink and army green. Since velvet has a retro feel I think braids and bold lips really compliment these looks.
Boohoo bodycon dress
Kimchi Blue lace camisole
$24 - newchic.com
Adidas lace up shoes
Sam Edelman high heel shoes
$135 - neimanmarcus.com
MSGM leather handbag
$285 - luisaviaroma.com
Next, I think velvet works for a casual lunch or a cocktail party. It's all about the accessories. Boyfriend jeans and adidas all stars keep a dressy top casual enough for the day. If you are dressing up keep the velvet piece the center of attention with neutral accessories. Nude pumps and a black textured clutch add elegance but don't take away from the dress.
Hope you all liked seeing how I would wear velvet throughout the fall!
