,Today I thought I would show yall some of my latest instagrams. I post a lot of outfits on instagram that don't necessarily make it on to my blog. I've been super stressed this past week with tests and decisions about sophomore year so I haven't had time to post a lot. I also came to a sudden realization that I am already a little late to be looking for summer internships. I swear in high school it was never a big deal for me to find a job, but now that I want something more professional I have to start looking months in advance. Anyway as you'll see from my instagrams I went to a basketball game with my parents, my friends debutante ball, and then brunch today. All of these things helped make my week a little better. Make sure to follow so that you can see more day to day aspects of my life as well as notifications of when I post!
On Saturday I got the amazing opportunity to attend one of my best friend's deb balls. It was the FANCIEST event I have ever been to! All the debs looked stunning in their custom picked bridal gowns! I wore my friend's prom dress, which I have been in love with ever since I saw it on her. It was such a cool event and I'm so glad I got to witness the whole thing! Here of pictures of what I wore and the last one is with my friend whose deb ball I was attending! My friend found this dress at a boutique that doesn't sell duplicates so I have linked similar things to it down below!
I love this outfit because it is perfect for the transition between winter and spring. I can still wear my booties but its not too cold for a skirt and exposed shoulders. I found both of these pieces I'm wearing on sale. The skirt was from nordstrom rack so I don't think I will be able to find and exact link but I will put something similar. As you've probably seen in my past outfit posts, I wear these booties a lot. They are a couple years old from Steve madden but there are similar dupes all over in different stores. One of the things I love to do when picking out an outfit is to pair a neutral pattern with a pop of color. That way my outfit isn't too much but also isn't boring. These pictures were taken at Butler Park in Austin. It has some really good backdrops of downtown that I loved. If you want to SHOP anything I'm wearing just click the link!
A lot of fraternities have been having their semi formals lately! I thought I would compile a collection of super cute semi dresses that are on sale for UNDER $40!! A lot of these could also work for a sorority date event, friends birthday party, or any fancier occasion. I found all of these dresses from the sale section of Revolve. It is my go to place to find any cute tops, dresses, and more for all fancy occasions. Revolve has a lot of high priced items but they do a really good job of marking down pieces to a reasonable price range. I always find the perfect outfit for under $50 and the pieces are usually really nice designers and brands. I love finding steals on super cute going-out outfits so you will probably be seeing more posts like this in the future! If you want to shop anything click on the links down below!
This dress is one of my favorite pieces I recently picked up from Madewell! This dress was on sale and then Madewell offers amazing student discounts. If you are a college student I would definitely check out Madewell's sales regularly because they will apply your discount on top of already marked down items! I love the off shoulder look plus the keyhole details on the end of each sleeve! I paired it with some black booties and a scarf in the last picture. The color of this dress is really good for transitioning from winter to spring. It can be dressed up or dressed down as well. I wore it more casually here, but am going to pair it with some nude heels to dress it up for my sororities founder's day! I linked everything I'm wearing so click to SHOP any of these items.
Today's outfit is all about layering. Texas weather isn't quite jacket weather but it still was a bit to chilly to just wear this tshirt dress. I threw a sweater over top and ended up loving how it looked! Some advice for layering: 1) make at least one of the layers a neutral color, that way they won't clash 2) choose layers that are different materials or at least have a different texture so that they still stand out from each other. For example, my tshirt dress is a jersey material and the knit sweater I put on top has some embroidery around the bottom. I also love these snake print shoes. You've probably seen them in my past posts and all over my instagram. Since neither layer had a pattern to it, I love that these snake print shoes added to the look. Also these pictures were taken at Butler Park, which is a really beautiful picture spot if anyone is ever in Austin! I linked all the pieces I'm wearing if you want to SHOP!
Valentines Day is quickly approaching! I have come up with three different looks for whatever date you have planned. The best part about all these looks is that every single item in ON SALE. Yes thats right, all these cute looks FOR LESS! That everything to the clothes themselves to the shoes and bags! I know that with the holidays just passing a lot of people, myself included, don't have a huge budget to go splurge on a valentines day ootd. These items vary in price from under $40 to in the hundreds, so there is still something for those who want to treat themselves! My personal favorite of these three looks is the color blocked jumpsuit. Something about it is so effortlessly fabulous that I'm tempted to go purchase it, even though my valentines day plans will likely include a sappy movie marathon on my couch. Click on the links below to shop any of these pieces and happy valentines day!
Hey everyone! I was scrolling around Forever 21's website and noticed that they have a lot of trendy pieces that I've been seeing higher end brands selling very similar things too. I love trying out cheaper items that have recently become trendy to know if I like them before I splurge several hundred dollars. As a typical broke college student I really don't have the money to be spending several hundred on a pair of jeans so the forever 21 version is perfect for me! Also if you lose or stain any of these items you won't have literally thrown hundreds of dollars away just to have red punch all over your blue top the first time you wear it. I really like deal hunting so I will probably have more of these coming up in the future! Also click on the links below to shop any of these pieces.
When I was buying new clothes for college I had no idea how many downtown clothes I would need. In high school everyone wore casual cute clothes on the regular, and I had no idea that college would be any different. Since I've moved to college I'm either in a tshirt going to class or a dressy tank top for a night out. Seriously, there is no in between. So I have made what I consider the "downtown essentials" to help anyone whose starting to shop for college next year. Most of the pieces in this collage are from boohoo. Boohoo is a great place to shop for inexpensive downtown clothes. Lets be real, there is a high probability that some drunken frat boy is going to spill his punch all over you so you don't want to spend a lot of money on going out clothes. Boohoo and Tobi always have great sales going on and still sell high quality pieces, so I always look there. I've i also inserted some pictures from my instagram also to show you what I typically wear out. Enjoy!
This top is from boohoo!
Last Saturday I woke up at 4 am and drove several hours to a sunrise hike. It was cold, exhausting, and challenging, but one of my favorite memories from this semester so far. Our group of 7 decided to make the early morning trip to see a beautiful sunrise, explore some cool caves, and eat a good breakfast. While it was too cloudy for a spectacular sunrise, the other two goals of our trip definitely lived up to our expectations. Enchanted Rock is a massive pink, granite rock near Fredericksburg, Texas. Once we climbed to the top and froze while waiting a sunrise that never happened, we decided to go explore the caves around the edges of the rocks. They were a little too narrow and confining for my taste, but still really cool to see. We then drove in the Fredericksburg, which is known for its German ancestry, and ate a great german breakfast (#GGB)! Here are some pictures we took along the way! Photo creds to everyone who was there because I have no idea whose took which picture!
